what's wrong with this picture?

Dad and I left Lynchburg, VA at 8am and drove to Austin, arriving at 4am or so. About 21 hours or so. It was an adventure because we had a dead battery. So we never turned the car off for the whole drive, filling it up with the motor running etc. It was kinda fun. We were sleep deprived but neither of us was really tired much. It was fun.

I drove about half of it i think
we saw many things, some mundane...

some less so...

Guess where I went to school.

This is how the recent shooting made me feel...
Gun control would be a mere bandaid on the gushing wound in humanity's soul. Airport gun control worked perfectly on 9-11.

Religion & psychology provide small salve to our broken spirits & hearts - unlike in the physical and mental worlds where science helps us go anywhere, fix anything or learn any known thing.

Our physical and mental abilities are outstripping our soul's wisdom.

Saturday morning 3/31/07, the day before April Fool's day, I am on my way to the mall to get my hair colored because I lost a bet to the Journyx sales team. They bet they could exceed quote by 1/3rd. I said if they did I'd color my hair the color of their choice.

They picked blue.

Do I look frightened?

I'm a very very scared man... yikes...

Here's what bleach does to Curt's head...

Here I am after the first pass...

Oh no, wait. This is me.

Cielle, world famous documentarian...

Amy the tormentor... her hands a blur...

This is the hand of the colorist. Yikes!

Linda, who normally cuts my hair, is aghast...

They said they wanted it blue... but it amuses an onlooker

abject terror in his eyes

Nearly done, I'm still terrified...

This is Cielle, laughing (with/at) me after my ordeal.
