this is a picture of me from probably 8 or 9 years ago.

so me and amanda and karen and ray (the ostensible grandma and grandpa sortof) went to see lauren graduate today. it is a smaller school than logan's, more diverse and more fun and teamy. in logan's school they're called the matadors, at o'henry, the mustangs.

Amanda and I saw Logan graduate from 8th grade today. He's going to High School next year. He'll be driving in about a year. Yikes! He says he'll be a better driver than me. He's more conservative than me in many ways, so who knows, maybe he will be. We have video too. 2nd Honor Roll means an average greater than 3.6 or something. He got that. 1st Honor Roll is over 3.8 or so. He didn't get that.

This is a closeup of the back of Logan's head. He's 14. His hair is a wreck. But I'm proud of him anyway. This a closup of the picture above...

Murchison Middle School doesn't really do 8th Graduation, they do an awards ceremony, where about 25% of the kids get an award and the rest don't attend. Logan attended.

Luckily it's blurry so you can't see his mishapen hairdo and oversized shirt.

Logan got recognized for 2 things
